Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho are two names that  come up in any discussion about the best manager in the world.

It is difficult to distinguish between the two legends. While Mourinho has been in the game for far too long, Guardiola, who has far less experience, has been enormously impressive thus far.

In terms of winning, Mourinho has won 27 trophies in total as a manager in his career whilst Guardiola has won a total of 33 titles in 14 years as a manager.

Mourinho has frequently built his teams from the ground up and gone on to win multiple trophies against the odds, including a treble with Inter, Premier League titles with Chelsea, and the Champions League with FC Porto.

Guardiola, on the other hand, has only managed top European clubs, which provide huge financial backing in the transfer window – a luxury Mourinho has not always had.

Mourinho’s teams are known for their counter-attacking style of play. His entire team defends the goal entirely

During his four years as Barcelona manager, Pep dominated all of European football, and the Catalan giants won 14 of the possible 21 trophies.

According to club legend Paul Breitner, Pep also made Bayern Munich play the best football in the German club’s entire – and largely decorated – history.
