Mourinho has won 26 club trophies to date and previously joked that he had won another half-trophy after being fired just days before Tottenham’s Carabao Cup final in 2021.

The Portuguese tactician began collecting trophies with Porto in 2003 and continued to add to his collection with Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

In 2015, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) named him Portuguese Coach of the Century, and he was the first coach to spend more than £1 billion on transfers.

He has been compared to Argentine manager Helenio Herrera by both admirers and detractors due to his tactical knowledge, charismatic and controversial personality, and a reputation for prioritizing results over attractive football.

Mourinho was awarded a doctorate honoris causa degree by the Technical University of Lisbon on March 23, 2009, for his achievements in football.

The Spanish Rolling Stone magazine named him “Rockstar of the Year” in December 2011.
