José Mourinho Wife: Who is Matilde Faria?

Matilde Faria is a philanthropist and the wife of Jose Mourinho, one of the best managers of all time.

Mourinho met his wife Matilde “Tami” Faria, who was born in Angola, as teenagers in Setbal, Portugal, and they married in 1989.

Matilde, their first child, was born in 1996, and José Mário Jr, their first son, was born four years later.

While devoted to football, Mourinho considers his family to be the center of his life, stating that the “most important thing is my family and being a good father.”

José Mourinho was named the New Statesman Man of the Year in 2005, and he was described as a man who was dedicated to both his family and his work.

His wife has had a big influence on his career, even once convincing him to reject the England job.

Mourinho said of that decision in 2014: “Lampard, Terry, Joe Cole, everybody, was saying, ‘Come, come, come. “My wife told me not to take it and she was right.
