Donald Mayer Blinken, an American businessman, director and one of the founders of E. M. Warburg Pincus & Company, an investment bank in New York and diplomat had an estimated net worth of $60 million at time of death.

Blinken was born on November 11, 1925 and died September 22, 2022 at age 96.
His demise was announced by his son and current United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Blinken has many accomplishments in the world of art and culture – he was one of the earliest collectors of Mark Rothko’s works and as a result, he was named President of the Mark Rothko Foundation in 1976.

Blinken also served as;
- President of the Brooklyn Academy of Music from 1970 to 1976,
- Was a member of the Executive Committee of the New York Public Library,
- A Board member and former Chairman of the Contemporary Publication Committee, and
- Overseer of the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, and a member of the Trustees’ Council of the National Gallery of Art.
He was also an Honorary Trustee of the New York Philharmonic Society.
