Elena Puskepalis was the wife of Sergei Vytautovich Puskepalis, a Russian actor and theatre director who died in a car crash on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at age 56.

Elena and Sergei dated for years and finally tied the knot in 1992. They have a son, Gleb Puskepalis, born in 992, a year after their marriage.
Details of Elena are under wraps. However, her husband was best known for his roles in the award-winning movies Simple Things (2006) and How I Ended This Summer (2010), both directed by Alexei Popogrebski.

Sergei’s outstanding performances in those movies led to him winning;

- A Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival in 2010.
Sergei was educated at the Saratov Drama School, then went on active duty in the Soviet Navy, worked as an actor in the Saratov Youth Theatre and studied at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, graduating in 2001.
Sergei began to act in movies in 2003, two years after his graduation. His first movie role was a cameo in the film The Stroll.
Sergei was an active supporter of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
