The funeral service for Queen Elizabeth will begin at 11 a.m. (6 a.m. ET) on Monday, September 19 2022.

The Dean of Westminster will preside over Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service at Westminster Abbey with the Archbishop of Canterbury delivering the Sermon and Commendation.
The Queen’s great-grandchildren, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will lead the royal family procession behind the Queen’s coffin as it is carried into Westminster Abbey.

Judith Weir, Master of the King’s Music, will perform a specially commissioned piece, “Like as the hart,” a setting of Psalm 42.

The nation will observe a two-minute silence near the end of the hour-long service, after which the Royal Regiment of Scotland’s Sovereign’s Piper will play the traditional lament, “Sleep, dearie, sleep.”
Following the service, the queen’s coffin will be carried in a walking procession to Hyde Park, and then by hearse to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Prince Philip, and her sister, Princess Margaret.
