Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer has announced that he is retiring from professional tennis after winning 20 Grand Slam titles.

The decision comes just days after the end of the US Open, which is expected to be the last tournament of a 23-time major champion, Serena Williams’ career, and signals the real end of an era in tennis.

Roger was ranked world No.1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for 310 weeks, including a record 237 consecutive weeks, and has finished as the year-end No.1 five times.
