William Klein Cause of Death

William Klein, who was an American photographer has died. He died on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in his adopted city of Paris. His son, Pierre Klein announced this.

William’s death came during the last few days of a major retrospective show at the International Centre of Photography in New York, which was scheduled to close Monday.

The actual cause of his death is still unknown.

William Klein was an American-born French photographer and filmmaker noted for his ironic approach to both media and his extensive use of unusual photographic techniques in the context of photojournalism and fashion photography.

Some of Klein’s work is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and many others. In 1989, he was appointed a Commander of Arts and Letters by the French government.
