Chris Kamara played actively from 1975 to 1995 and then resumed playing from 2012 to 2013.

Chris Kamara played professionally for Portsmouth from 1975 to 1977 and then played for Swindon Town from 1977 to 1981. Chris Kamara returned to play for Portsmouth in 1981 and then joined Brentford in the same year till 1985.

Chris Kamara rejoined Swindon Town in 1985 and played there till 1988 before joining Stoke City from 1988 to 1990. Chris Kamara played for Leeds United from 1990 to 1991 and played for Luton Town from 1991 to 1993.

Chris Kamara joined Sheffield United on loan from Luton Town from 1992 to 1993 and also joined Middlesbrough on loan in 1993. Chris Kamara joined Sheffield United the next season and played there till 1994 and then joined Bradford City from 1994 to 1995.

After being active for almost two decades, Chris Kamara returned to football and played for Welshpool Town from 2012 to 2013.
