Krishnam Raju, known officially as Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, was an Indian actor and politician who served as the Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from 1999 to 2004. Krishnam Raju was the brother of an Indian film producer called Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju.

Krishnam Raju died in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on September 11, 2022, at the age of 82 years.

According to the death report of Krishnam Raju, his death happened at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad, India, after battling a lung collapse and a very troubling cardiac arrest.

Krishnam Raju appeared in a number of movies and some of them include Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvvu, Bala Mitrula Katha, Bhale Mastaru, Amara Deepam, Katakatala Rudrayya, Ragile Jwala, Sati Savitri, Aadavaallu Meeku Joharlu, and others.

Krishnam Raju won the 5 Decades Star Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Legend Actor of Silver Screen from the TSR TV9 National Awards.
