Krishnam Raju, known in real life as Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju, was an Indian actor and politician who was a one-time recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gulf Andhra Musical Awards.

Krishnam Raju served as the Minister of Rural Development, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Minister of Defence, and Minister of External Affairs in the state government of India.

Krishnam Raju was born in Mogalthur, Madras Presidency, British India, on January 20, 1940, and died in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on September 11, 2022, at the age of 82 years after suffering a lung collapse and a cardiac arrest that he battled at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad, India.
The death of Krishnam Raju was reported by his family in a post that is so touching. The family of Krishnam Raju are yet to meet to plan his burial and other issues related to his death.
