Dillon Danis went through the jiu-jitsu belt system at Jamie Cruz’s academy. He decided to begin training jiu-jitsu when he was 15 years old.

Dillon Danis is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Marcelo Garcia. In 2015, he started working alongside Conor McGregor and trained him for matches against Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Dillon Danis made his professional debut on April 28, 2018, against Kyle Walker at Bellator 198 where he won via submission in the first round. Dillon Danis got first place at IBJJF Pan American No-Gi Champion (2016), IBJJF New York Spring Open Champion (2016), and IBJJF Boca Raton Open (2015).
Dillon Danis later faced Max Humphrey on June 14, 2019, at Bellator 222 and eventually won the fight via first-round submission. Dillon Danis has had zero losses so far and has two victories won via submission.
