Queen Elizabeth II , the longest-reining British monarch, died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 8.

The aftermath of the British Monarch’s death has seen social media filled with content linking her to the classic children’s character Paddington Bear.
A tweet sent by the verified Paddington Bear account paying tribute to the late Queen warmed hearts and went viral.
The tweet read; “Thank you Ma鈥檃m, for everything.”
The tweet has amassed over a million reactions (in terms of likes and retweets).

In June, The Queen appeared in a comedy sketch opposite a CGI version of Paddington, voiced by Ben Whishaw as part of celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee.
In the video, Paddington shows the queen he always keeps a marmalade sandwich in his hat.
The queen in turn showed Paddington how she always keeps one in her handbag too.
