Nadhim Zahawi is an Iraqi-born British politician currently serving as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Minister for Intergovernmental Relations and Minister for Equalities since 2022.

Zahawi, a member of the Conservative Party has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Stratford-on-Avon since 2010.
Prior to that, Zahawi served in the Second Johnson ministry as;
- Vaccines Minister from 2020 to 2021,
- Secretary of State for Education from 2021 to 2022 and
- Chancellor of the Exchequer from July to September 2022.

Nadhim is married to Lana Fawzi Jamil Saib and they have three children.
Zahawi has kept details of his children under the wraps. However, in 2017, Nadhim revealed that he was barred from visiting his sons, who were studying at Princeton University in the US, due to Donald Trump’s travel ban.
The MP was advised by his lawyers that he and his wife would be barred under the controversial new rules banning those born in “Muslim” countries.

In 2019, Nadhim tweeted a picture of one of his son’s Princeton thesis, which was called Brexit: Why Did it Happen and What Can We Learn From It?
Congratulating him, he said:
“Very proud of my son Ahmed.
“He has just completed his senior thesis on a subject that continues to dominate our politics.
