Moon Landrieu Cause of Death

American Lawyer and politician, Moon Landrieu has passed on. Landrieu died at his home in New Orleans on September 5, 2022, at the age of 92.

His death was announced by the family aide, Ryan Berni. She confirmed it through a tweet which said, “I never met anyone with a stronger moral compass. Moon Landrieu always fought for what he thought was right and just. I cherish the time I spent learning from him, long after he left public life. Please keep the Landrieu family in your prayer”.

Landrieu was elected Mayor of New Orleans in the election of 1970 to succeed fellow Democrat, Victor Schiro. His opponent in the Democratic primary runoff was Lousiana Lieutenant Governor Jimmy Fitzmorris.

Landrieu married Verna Satterlee, and they had nine children; among them are former US Senator, Mary Landrieu and former Mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu.
