Jordan Thompson is an Australian professional tennis player who made his Grand Slam debut at the 2014 Australian Open after winning the Australian Open wildcard play off on 15 December 2013.

In 2013, Thompson made his debut on the professional circuit in qualifying at the 2013 Apia International Sydney where he lost to world number 81 Guillermo García-López.

After receiving a wild card he won his first professional match in qualifying at the 2013 Australian Open against Nicolas Renavand 9–7 in the third set.
He lost in the second round to 21st seed Ryan Sweeting.
Thompson had a successful run at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships to the third round for the first time in his career where he defeated World No. 14 and 12th seed Casper Ruud in a five sets, his first win at this tournament and third top-20 win in the past three year.
He finished 2021 with a singles ranking of World No. 75.
