Ralph Eggleston, an Award-winning animator, art director and production designer at Pixar Animation Studios, died on Monday, August 29 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Eggleston began his career at Pixar in 1992, hired during the development of Toy Story, his work which won him the Annie Award for Best Art Direction.

Eggleston won the animated short film Oscar for writing and directing the 2001 Pixar film, For The Birds. He worked as a Production Designer on the film, Inside Out for six years, which received the Annie Award for Best Production Design.
