2 Air France Pilots Suspended After Fighting in Cockpit

Two Air France pilots were suspended after physically fighting in the cockpit on a June, 2022 flight from Geneva to Paris, according to an Air France official on Sunday, August 28 2022.

According to Switzerland’s La Tribune, the pilot and co-pilot had a disagreement shortly after takeoff and grabbed each other by the collars after one apparently hit the other.

According to the report, cabin crew intervened and one crew member spent the flight in the cockpit with the pilots.

The fight was revealed after France’s air investigation agency, BEA, issued a report on Wednesday, August 2022 claiming that some Air France pilots failed to follow procedures during safety incidents.

The flight continued and landed safely, and the dispute had no effect on the rest of the flight, according to the official, who emphasised the airline’s commitment to safety.
