Ava Muhammad was a Black Muslim living in America. In the NOI’s history, she presided over the first mosque and region in 1998 as a female minister.

Muhammad was appointed Southern Regional Minister, giving her authority over Nation of Islam mosque operations throughout Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and portions of Tennessee in addition to managing day-to-day operations at the mosque.
She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1975 with a doctorate in law. But in 2013, she was barred from the profession of law. She subsequently joined the New York Bar Association.

One of Ava’s fans has posted on Facebook that today we lost the angel of Islam Community. Ava was dead, guys. We were never supposed to get such a humble person in our Islam again.
And when we tried to know her cause from her family, they did not answer. That’s why the reason behind her death was still unknown.
How Did Ava Muhammad Die?
Ava Muhammad died on August 26th, 2022 but her cause of death is yet to be made public.
However, Ava Muhammad was diagnosed with cancer some years back. Ava was 71 years old.
