Born on June 27, 1931, in Milan, Lombardy, Kingdom of Italy, Galvani began her acting career with stage plays.
She had been a member of the drama school of the Piccolo Teatro in her hometown, and took part in many stage plays in the 50s, especially the ones directed by Giorgio Strehler.
Galvani also appeared in a number of films, in both lead and supprting roles.
