Who Is Charlie Crist?

Crist was born on July 24, 1956. He has been U.S. representative from Florida’s 13th congressional district since 2017.

He was also governor of Florida state from 2007 to 2011.

Crist attended Cumberland School of Law in 1981, and began his legal career as a general counsel to the Minor League Baseball, which had its headquarters in St. Petersburg.

Crist had interest in politics at the time and for the first time, ran for public office in Pinellas County, in 1986.

Crist served as a Senator in Florida for six years, and later served as Commissioner for Education in Florida between 2001 and 2003. He was also the state’s Attorney General between 2003 and 2007.

While he functioned as Governor of Florida, Crist contested for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Crist led at the polls in the 2010 race for the Republican nomination, but had lost to Marco Rubio.
