Anna Mani Cause of Death: How did Anna Mani Die?

Anna Mani was an Indian physicist and meteorologist who died on August 16, 2001, at the age of 82. Mani suffered a stroke in 1994, that rendered her immobile until her death.

Anna Mani served as a visiting professor at the Raman Research Institute after retiring as the Deputy Director General of the Indian Meteorological Department.

Mani made significant contributions to meteorological instrumentation, conducting research and publishing numerous papers on solar radiation, ozone, and wind energy measurements.

She created an instrument for measuring atmospheric ozone and established a meteorological observatory. She also joined the International Ozone Commission.

Mani was a member of the Indian National Science Academy, the American Meteorological Society, the International Solar Energy Society, the World Meteorological Organization and the International Association for Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics.

Mani was awarded the INSA K. R. Ramanathan Medal in 1987. On what would have been her 104th birthday on August 23, 2022, Google honoured Mani with a Google Doodle.
