He attended Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, and began playing football there.
Kenyan Drake played college football in Alabama. As a freshman, he appeared in 12 games and rushed for 281 yards and five touchdowns.

As a sophomore, he played 11 games and finished the season with 694 yards rushing, 8 touchdowns, and 135 yards receiving.
Kenyan was selected by the Miami Dolphins as the 73rd pick in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in October 2019. He rushed 11 yards with a touchdown in his first game for the Cardinals, and he finished the season with 817 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns.
