Marco says he finds it difficult to use computers or the internet, he does’nt have a TV set and had always failed the driving test.

Who Is Marco Pierre White?

Marco Pierre White is a chef, restaurateur, and media personality.

He is known for his French, British and Italian cuisine and the food TV program, Hell’s Kitchen.

Born in Leeds, on December 11, 1961, Marco became the first British chef to receive three Michelin stars, as far back as 1995.

He has tutored successful chefs such as Mario Batali, Heston Blumenthal, Shannon Bennett, Gordon Ramsay and Curtis Stone.

Marco picked interest in cooking at a young age from his father, Frank White, who was also a chef. He dropped out of Allerton High School in Leeds and began training as a chef.

First, he trained at Hotel St George in Harrogate and then at the Box Tree.

Marco later went to London to work with Albert and Michel Roux at Le Gavroche, and Pierre Koffman at La Tante Claire.

Marco worked in several kitchens, including that of Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir, Nico Ladenis of Chez Nico, and the Six Bells public house, together with Mario Batali.

Marco retired in 1999.
