Dean Westlake Son: Who Is Tallon Westlake?

Tallon Westlake is the 36-year-old son of late Alaskan politician, Dean Westlake.

Tallon is currently facing manslaughter charges for killing his father.

Authorities say he has a history of drug abuse and has got a short temper.

Tallon had issues with the legal authorities in 2021 after he allegedly failed to stop at the direction of a police officer. He had been arrested and brought in for questioning.

How Did Tallon Westlake Kill His Father?

Tallon had beaten his father to death on Saturday morning in his South Anchorage apartment.

The father and son had a scuffle over a rental dispute.

Tallon had lost his mother about a year ago. His father’s girlfriend who owned the building, said Tallon had been living in the apartment but had not paid rent in four months.

She testified that Dean had plans to evict Tallon. Dean recently had a hip replacement surgery and was on blood thinners due to a heart-related problem.

After the dastardly act, Tallon had called 911 on Saturday, requesting for an ambulance for his dad.

Dean was found motionless and was not breathing. The medics who arrived had taken his body away.

Detectives say that Dean’s body had been pummeled, with evidences of blood spatter in the hallway. There was a strong odor of bleach and the floors appeared to have just been mopped.

Detectives also confirmed that a neighbor testified to hearing a loud argument from the building.

Tallon has been jailed in Anchorage on $50,000 cash bail.

Dean was from Kiana and served in the Alaska House of Representatives. He resigned in 2017.
