Famous New Zealand singer, Margaret Urlich has been reported dead by close sources. The singer died after battling two years of cancer. She was one of the most successful artistes in Australia in the 1990s after she broke through the entertainment industry with a standout performance in the Daryl Braithwaite classic The Horse.

Margaret Urlich died at the age of 57 at her home in Southern Highlands in New South Wales. Several celebrities took to social media to express their condolences to the bereaved family.

“One of the most beautiful voices to come out of New Zealand has fallen silent. Margaret Urlich has passed away at age 57, two years after being diagnosed with cancer. She won the ARIA for Breakthrough Artist in 1991 and sang BVs on Daryl Braithwaite’s hit The Horses. Vale,” Angela Bishop tweeted.
