David Marsh Cause Of Death

Former chairman of Everton Football Club, David Marsh, passed away on August 19, 2022, at age 88.

His cause of death is still unknown.

Marsh was an amateur golfer and was captain of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews as far back as 1990.

He has also served as president of the Lancashire and then English Unions between 1973 and 1975.

David Marsh Early Life

Born in April 1934, in Southport, United Kingdom, Marsh was the youngest captain of Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club in the 60s.

He played Rugby while in college and joined the Southport Rugby Football Club.

Marsh had been England’s representative 75 times and was captain to the Walker Cup team in 1973 and 1975.

Marsh emerged chairman of Everton F.C. in 1991, after Philip Carter. Three years later, Peter Johnson took over as president.

Marsh appeared in a number of teams including the Walker Cup in 1959, 1971, 1973 and 1975; the Amateurs–Professionals Match in 1959; the St Andrews Trophy in 1958; and European Amateur Team Championship in 1971.
