Who Is Luke Rockhold?

Luke is an American mixed martial artist born on October 17, 1984, in Santa Cruz, although he has German, Irish and English roots.

Luke now competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the UFC and is a former Middleweight Champion.

Luke has won the world championship twice, as well as the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship.

Aside fighting professionally, Luke is a surfer and a model, who has graced the New York Fashion Week and is the face of Ralph Lauren’s “Polo Blue” fragrance.

Luke grew up in a family of sports lovers, his father being a  basketball player, and his mother a tennis player.

Luke was a wrestler from the seventh grade, until high school and added some jiu-jitsu classes to it.

He later entered the mixed martial arts full time and was opportuned to train at the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) in San Jose, California, under head coach Javier Mendez.
