Who Is Jeremy Paxman?
Paxman is a British broadcaster and TV presenter known for hosting Quizmaster of University Challenge.
Born on May 11, 1950, in Leeds, United Kingdom, Paxman had his education at Malvern College and St Catharine’s College, Cambridge.

As a student, he served as editor of the undergraduate newspaper Varsity.

Paxman has been a former Newsnight presenter and is known for hosting Quizmaster of University Challenge.
In 2022, Paxman announced that he would be stepping down as host of the University Challenge after almost three dcades.
His decision follows his medical diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in 2021.
He had been the quizshow presenter since 1994.
“I had a blast hosting this wonderful series for nearly 29 years and have been lucky enough to work with an amazing team and meet some of the ‘swottier’ brains in the country”, Paxman said.
