The Philadelphia Phillies signed Carlos Carrasco as an undrafted free agent on November 25, 2003. Carlos Carrasco made his Major League Baseball debut with the Cleveland Indians on September 1 2009.

While with the Philadelphia Phillies, Carlos Carrasco threw his first no-hitter on August 21, 2007. Carlos has been on the World roster for the 2006, 2007, and 2008 All-Star Futures Games. Carrasco was named the 41st-best prospect in baseball entering the 2007 season.

Carlos Carrasco has been playing baseball as a third baseman since he was 10 years old. Carlos Carrasco was ranked as the top prospect in the Phillies organization twice, entering both the 2007 and 2008 seasons.  He has been with the Cleveland Indians (2009–2011, 2013–2020) and New York Mets (2021–present).
