John Engen Obituary

American politician, John Engen has been reported dead. He died from pancreatic cancer following a diagnosis he had in 2015.

“It’s just a hard day for the City of Missoula and we’re just going to figure it out and go forward with as much grace as John led this city with,” Missoula City Council President, Gwen Jones said after his death was officially announced on Monday.

Vice President of Missoula City Council, Jordan Hess also shared;

“He left us in good hands. John loved this community more than anyone know. He was an amazing mayor who brought this town forward and turned it into a city – the creative, beautiful Missoula that we all know and love. He led with humor, strength, and grace. We were lucky to have him for so many years.”
