Anne Celeste Heche, an American actress who came to recognition portraying twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap opera Another World (1987–1991), winning her a Daytime Emmy Award and two Soap Opera Digest Awards has died.

She was unable to regain consciousness after she got involved in a ghastly car crash which occured on Friday, August 5, 2022. Her death comes exactly a week after the accident.
Heche was in a high-speed car that ran off the road and collided with a house that caught fire, according to Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee.
Anne’s death was confirmed by a representative of her family to the US online media outlet TMZ.

The representative of Anne’s family said in a statement:
We have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy.
Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.

- The black comedy film Catfight (2016).
Heche received further acclaim for her role in the television film Gracie’s Choice, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination, and for her work on Broadway, particularly Twentieth Century, for which she received a Tony Award nomination.

Heche had four siblings, three of whom are deceased.
Susan, from whom Heche was estranged, died of brain cancer. Cynthia died in infancy of a heart defect. Nathan died in a car crash shortly before his high school graduation, with Heche claiming that he died via suicide.
Abigail, a jewelry designer, is the fourth sibling.
