Linda Louise McCartney was an American photographer, musician, animal rights activist, vegetarian cookbook author and advocate, and entrepreneur.

She was an outspoken advocate for animal rights and wrote and published several vegetarian cookbooks. She and her husband Paul McCartney also founded the vegetarian Linda McCartney Foods company.
Paul and Linda collaborated on the album Ram and formed the band Wings in 1971. She continued to perform with Paul after the breakup of the Wings in 1981 until The New World Tour in 1993.
Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995 and died On April 17, 1998, three years later, at the age of 56.
