René Goscinny Daughter: Meet Anne Goscinny

Anne Goscinny is a French novelist whose works have been published by Grasset and Gallimard.

Anne Goscinny was born on May 19, 1968, in Boulogne-Billancourt to writer Gilberte Goscinny and famous comic book editor and writer René Goscinny.

Anne Goscinny manages her father’s work,  Asterix, Lucky Luke, Iznogoud, Le Petit Nicolas, and other works, of which she is the beneficiary.

Anne Goscinny finished her education at the Lycée Molière Paris. She has a master’s degree in comparative literature from the University of Paris-III Censier. Her dissertation is on Jean Rhys: from the failure of life to literary creation.

She has six novels with Grasset and one story with Nil to her credit. Paperback editions of some titles are available.

Anne Goscinny’s novels have been translated into several languages, including Portuguese, Taiwanese, Korean, and Polish. In 2007, she was awarded the WIZO Prize for her novel The Eternal Father.

Anne Goscinny established the Institut René-Goscinny in 2016, with the goal of “developing and supporting activities of general interest of a cultural and educational nature that are part of the French artistic and cultural heritage relating to the work of her father René Goscinny.
