William Campbell Legg (Billy Legg), was an English professional footballer, who played for Huddersfield Town and Bradford Park Avenue.

Billy Legg passed away peacefully on Sunday night (August 7, 2022). However, his death was announced today (August 11, 2022).
During a long and illustrious football career, Billy Legg played for, and managed, clubs across West Yorkshire.
Legg, a left-back lined up for Bradford (Park Avenue) and played 60 times for Huddersfield Town in the 1960s, scoring four goals.
Legg played in the same Town side as the former England international forward Frank Worthington who was famed for his flamboyance and flair.
When Legg later managed Guiseley in a two-year spell between 1989 and 1991, he signed Worthington, the flamboyant flair player.
Worthington went on to make 20 appearances for Guiseley in 1990, and scored seven goals.
Legg had a successful spell in charge of the Guisely, as he led them to the FA Vase semi-finals during the 1989–90 season.
Incidentally, it was the first time Guiseley reached this stage of the non-league cup competition.
However, Guiseley failed to make it to the showpiece, losing 4-0 on aggregate to Bridlington Town.

Legg reportedly passed away peacefully on Sunday night (August 7, 2022) after suffering a cardiac arrest at home last Wednesday.
Guiseley took to social media to tweet their own tribute to their former boss, alongside a picture of him taken during his coaching career.
