Mario Fiorentini Children: Did Mario Fiorentini Have Kids?

Late Italian mathematics professor, Mario Fiorentini and his wife Lucia Ottobrini, were blessed with three children – Claudia, Giancarlo and Davide.

Claudia was born in 1946,  Giancarlo was born in 1951, while Davide was born in 1963.

Their mother, Lucia passed away in 2015.

Who Was Mario Fiorentini?

Mario Italian was an Italian resistance fighter and mathematician.

Mario was Italy’s most decorated resistance fighter against fascist and Nazi forces during the World War II.

He had led a partisan group to oppose the regime of dictator Bettino Mussolini.

He was jailed but escaped from the Nazi-run jails four times.

Born on November 7, 1918, Mario took part in the assault on the entrance to the Regina Coeli prison. He once had the opportunity to run for Italy’s Parliament after the war but he declined the offer.

Mario was also a mathematician, and professor  of geometry at the University of Ferrara. His love for the academia had made him ditch a potential political career.

He later proceeded to teach at other universities across Italy, Canada and the United States.

Mario passed away in 2022. His death was announced by the Rome chapter of the National Partisans Association of Italy.
