Maya Thevar was an Indian politician who served as a Member of Parliament elected from Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, from May 1973 to December 1984. Maya Thevar was a very outstanding personality and he was an alumnus of Pachaiyappa College, Chennai.

Maya Thevar was a staunch member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and he was even the first person from his party to be elected to his constituency.

Maya Thevar Obituary

Maya Thevar was born in T. Uchapatti, Usilampatti, Madurai district, Madras Presidency, British India, on October 15, 1934, and died in Chinnalapatti, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, India, on August 9, 2022, at the age of 87 years.

The cause of the death of Maya Thevar and the circumstances surrounding his death is yet to be made public. A number of condolence messages have been sent to Maya Thevar’s family.

Maya Thevar was notable for his insight for the selection of two leaves symbols for his political party.
