Lamont Dozier Parents: Who Are Lamont Dozier’s Mother And Father?

Late American singer and record producer, Lamont Dozier,  was born on June 16, 1941, to his parents whose identity are unknown.

Dozier hails from Detroit, Michigan and produced 14 US Billboard number 1 hits during his lifetime.

Dozier, together with Brian Holland, were part of the music production team Holland–Dozier–Holland, and produced hit songs for artists such as Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, The Four Tops, and The Isley Brothers.

Dozier had also worked with the Holland Brothers, and founded Invictus Records and Hot Wax Records, and came up with hit songs for artistes such as Freda Payne, Honey Cone, Chairmen of the Board, and 100 Proof Aged in Soul.

In the year 1990, Dozier and the Holland brothers got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

They had as well worked on the music used in the movie First Wives Club.

Dozier went beyond musical performances to teaching credit courses on popular music at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, where he was a professor.

Dozier passed away on August 8, 2022. He was aged 81.

Until his death, he lived in Encino, California, with his wife Barbara who had died in July 2021.

The couple was blessed with three children.
