Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning on 8 August 2022 following a battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of death at the age of 73.

Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE was a British-born Australian singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and activist. She was born on September 26, 1948, in Cambridge, the United Kingdom to Welshman Brinley “Bryn” Newton-John and Irene Helene Born.

Olivia Newton-John was raised as the youngest of three children. Her brother Hugh Newton-John was a medical doctor, while her sister Rona Newton-John was an actress.

Olivia Newton-John was a four-time Grammy Award winner and is one of the best-selling music artists from the second half of the 20th century to the present, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide. In her music career, Newton-John has also had two Billboard 200 number one albums including If You Love Me, Let Me Know (1974) and Have You Never Been Mellow (1975).
