Anthony Claude Leach Jr., known as Buddy Leach, was an American businessman and Democratic politician from Louisiana.

He served one term as a U.S. representative for Louisiana’s 4th congressional district.

He also served as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and as chairman of the Louisiana Democratic Party.

Leach is survived by his wife, Laura, and his three children: Lucy Davenport, an educator who lives in Baton Rouge; Mary Werner, who lives in Lafayette, is a vice president of Sweet Lake and serves as a member of the LSU Board of Supervisors;

and Claude, who is president of Sweet Lake and lives in Lake Charles. He has nine grandchildren.
