“With sadness, Archie passed away at 12.15 pm today,” she said through tears. I’d just like to say that I am the proudest mother in the world.

Ms Dance continued: “It’s been extremely difficult. Despite the hard strong face and obvious appearance in front of the cameras, I’ve been pretty broken up until now.”

On Saturday morning, family members brought flowers to the hospital and set up a tribute to Archie in front of the hospital with candles in the shape of the letter A.
Archie, a gifted gymnast and MMA fan, had been in a coma since suffering a catastrophic brain injury on April 7.
His mother, who has been by his bedside almost constantly since believes he choked while participating in a viral social media challenge.
