Judith Durham was married to Ronald Edgeworth an actor and composer. Judith Durham and Ron Edgeworth got married on November 21, 1969, at Scots’ Church in Melbourne.

They lived in the United Kingdom and Switzerland until the mid-1980s, when they moved to Nambour, Queensland.

Judith and her late husband Ron Edgeworth chose not to have children. In 1990, Edgeworth was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. Durham was by his side when he died on December 10, 1994.

Judith Durham was named Victorian of the Year on July 1, 2015, for her contributions to music and a variety of charities.

Judith Durham passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 79. She had been receiving palliative care at the Alfred Hospital before her death from disease complications
