A former BBC DJ, Alex Belfield, has been found guilty of stalking Jeremy Vine, a television presenter.

Prosecutors claim that Alex Belfield subjected Jeremy Vine to a relentless online campaign that included a wave of personal and unpleasant attacks on Youtube, Twitter and Facebook for over 11 months.

Alex on the other hand has denied stalking Jeremy and the other victims. He claims that he has been subjected to a witch hunt.

Jurors accepted Belfield caused serious alarm or distress to two victims and was found guilty of simple stalking about Channel 5 and BBC Radio 2 presenter, Vine and theatre blogger, Philip Dehany.
Alex showed no emotion and wrote notes on a piece of paper as he was found guilty of committing the offences between 2012 and 2021.
