How Did Jack Deloplaine Die?

The actual cause of Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Jack Deloplaine’s death is unknown. He died on August 3, 2022. Jack Deloplaine was reportedly suffering from an unannounced illness before his death.

The news of his death was confirmed by the Steelers Alumni office. He was 68 years old.

Jack played the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears from 1976 to 1979, having earlier played college football for the Salem Tigers.

After retiring from professional football, Jack Deloplaine worked as an athletic director at a prison in Pittsburgh.

He also headed a strength and conditioning program at North Catholic High School and served as running backs coach at Pine-Richland High School.
