The New York-based actress practically grew up on set and gracing the screens. From an early age, she was on her way to becoming a professional ballet dancer.

Upon graduation from high school, she joined the Washington Ballet. However, aslong the line, Turshen sustained some serious injuries which put a halt to her dancing career for a long time.
She made her way to Mount Holyoke College and as a student, she attended acting classes.
After graduating from college, Turshen travelled back to New York City.
The former ballet dancer has starred in several movies and TV shows such as Red Oaks, Boys Meet Girl, Lonely Boys, Body, Land of Smiles and The Maladjusted.
Turshen played the role of Samantha on the ABC thriller Quantico in 2016.
