Charlie McDowell: Who is Lily Collins’ Husband?

Charles Malcolm McDowell an American film director and writer is the husband of British and American actress Lily Collins.

The couple got engaged in September 2020. They married on September 4, 2021, in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.

McDowell was born in Los Angeles, California on July 10, 1983, to English actor Malcolm McDowell and American actress Mary Steenburgen.

In January 2014, his debut film, The One I Love, starring Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

McDowell directed Sarah Silverman’s untitled HBO series pilot in 2015.  The Discovery, McDowell’s next film, starred Rooney Mara, Jason Segel, and Robert Redford.

The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Netflix for a 2017 global release.

McDowell directed and executive produced the first and final episodes of the Showtime series On Becoming a God in Central Florida in 2019. He directed episodes of Silicon Valley, Dear White People, Tales from the Loop, and Dispatches from Elsewhere, among others.
