Jose was born on March 7, 1962. He was a baseball pitcher for the MLB for the Houston Astros, as far back as 1989.

He also played for the Uni-President Lions and the Wei Chuan Dragons.

Who Is Robinson Cano?

Cano is a baseball player for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Before joining the Braves, he played for the New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, and San Diego Padres.

Canó grew up in the Dominican Republic, but lived in New Jersey for three years.

He went to Barringer High School before his family moved back to the Dominican Republic. He then attended San Pedro Apostol High School in San Pedro de Macorís.

He had played high school baseball and basketball.

Robinson Cano Career

Canó was signed in by the Yankees as an amateur free agent back in 2001.

He played for the Yankees for 8 years, and won a World Series championship.

In 2013, the Mariners signed him into a 10-year contract worth USD$240 million, but he played for them for only 4 years before he was traded to the Mets.

Cano has been an MLB All-Star eight times and has won the Silver Slugger Award five times, amongst many others.

Canó has represented his country in international games. The 2013 World Baseball Classic (WBC) tournament, saw Cano win a gold medal and a Most Valuable Player Award (MVP).
