The Cincinnati Reds traded American baseball third baseman, Brandon Drury, on August 2, 2022, to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Victor Acosta.

Just five months ago, Drury signed a minor league contract with the Reds and was named the best offensive player, even though some argued he was supposed to be an All-Star.

“I was excited. I’m going to a good team and I’m looking forward to going there and trying to win a ring,” Drury had said after the trade.

“I had two minor-league offers coming into the season and then to have Cincinnati to come in here and put my career back on track has been amazing, and I can’t thank Cincinnati enough. It’s been a huge turning point in my career. I came here and played well and had the opportunity”, he added.

Brandon Drury Career

Drury was born on August 21, 1992, and plays baseball for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He had previously been with the Atlanta Braves after he was selected in the 13th round of the 2010 MLB draft.

Drury made his MLB debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2015 and afterwards, he played for the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets and Cincinnati Reds.
