Fran Kirby was diagnosed with the rare condition called pericarditis, an illness which causes inflammation to the fluid-filled sac around the heart. It has been a difficult six months for Kirby but despite the long road to recovery, the forward is feeling positive having gone six weeks without any symptoms.

Where Is Fran Kirby Now?
Fran Kirby is still a player for the English National team and Chelsea. Emma Hayes, the manager of Chelsea Women, clarified during a press conference that Kirby had been suffering a lot with fatigue, yet the cause of this is currently unknown.
