Elvira Demidova, a 31-year-old female crane operator who became a TikTok star with videos of herself working, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, after her 40-foot crane was blown down by high winds.

Elvira Demidova was killed instantly when her cabin smashed to the ground in Tyumen, Russia’s major oil hub. Ms Demidova, who had 41,000 TikTok subscribers, had a son and a daughter.

She rose to prominence on the social media platform due to her candid stories about her day-to-day life as a crane operator.
A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to raise funds for her funeral as well as for the care of her two children, who will be raised by Ms Demidova’s mother.
Authorities have since launched a criminal investigation into the cause of her tragic death, according to local news reports.
